6 Steps to a Better Stimulation | An easy way to make keto coffee at home

Have you ever heard of Keto coffee? No, what about Bulletproof coffee? I first heard about it a couple years ago when I was a barista at Coyote Coffee. But then I forgot about it until I began commuting on the train when I found a coffee shop on my way to work that served it.

I really liked it but it costs $5 a drink. Whenever I told anyone about it they thought I was going to give them a healthy response. It’s called keto coffee so everyone associates it with the ketogenic diet but thats not why I started drinking it. I started drinking it because A). I like to try new things, and B). I really enjoyed the type of stimulation it gave me.

It hugged my brain in all the right places. I liked that it didn’t make me feel jittery and I also enjoyed its creamy texture. As soon as I bought a vitamix I started making these little gems from the comfort of my own home.

Below is my own version of keto coffee. Feel free to be a maverick and experiment with your own version of the same thing.

6 Steps to a Delicious Stimulation:

  • Step 1: Organize the tools and ingredients

  • Step 2: Begin boiling water. I add water to my coffee mug and then use the mug to measure the amount of water I need to boil for the perfect cup of coffee.

  • Step 3: Place the coffee filter cone over the coffee cup, then place a coffee filter over the cone and add 2.5tbs of ground coffee

    • I prefer to grind beans on the spot. It helps create the freshest cup.

  • Step 4: Brew coffee; add the boiled water to the filter and use a spoon to stir on occasion. Be careful because the water is hot and you don’t want coffee grinds falling into the cup. Pour slow and stir gently.

  • Step 5: Combine 2Tbs of unsalted butter, 1 Tbs of coconut oil or MCT oil (use lightly at first. It can cause an upset stomach if you aren’t use to it), and the brewed coffee into the blender. Blend for 10-15 seconds.

  • Step 6: Poor and enjoy!

  • Pro tip: Add a dash of cinnamon to give it a nice flavor boost. It isn’t necessary but if you are feeling like a Maverick and want to experience something new I highly recommend adding it to your keto coffee.
